DPWH Guidelines and Implementing Rules on Earthquake Recording Instrumentation for Buildings
The DPWH has deemed it necessary to improve the understanding of a buildings reaction to seismic events by enforcing the installation of earthquake recording instrumentation for buildings as the NSCP has restated in 2001, 5th edition and, again, in 2010, 6th edition. In the NBCDO, National Building Code Development Office, Memorandum Circular No. 1, Series of 2015, on March 12, 2015, it is stated that this requirement is now
for strict and immediate compliance for all concerned.
